I am also wanting to get a reader and looking around and reading up on them. I would like to have one that I would be able to read outdoors as well as indoors. I will be watching your comments on this page to see what your followers say.
I know a few people who have a kindle and they like it. & I know someone who has a sony e-reader and they like it. I'd suggest just going with your gut on this one :)

My daughter did a lot of research which resulted in choosing a Kindle. I now have one and love it. Long battery life, easy to read outdoors (the screen is different to a computer screen) I love the inbuilt dictionary, and ability to take notes as you go. A bonus is being to download things like recipes and patterns. Though this info is probably a bit late as I expect you've chosen by now! Sue
