Searching for a job....

So, I've decided to search for a part time job.
I need to get out of the house now and then. Lately I find myself on the computer
doing my review blog almost non stop when the kids aren't home.
That can't be good!!

I figure that I want to get out of the house and I can make some extra money at the same time.

I'm thinking about looking for a server position.
I've always liked the idea of working a few hours and making alot of money.
In the past, I've always been able to make really good tips.

I find it easy to get along with people,
and most weeks my earnings for part time work were more than I'd have made at a different
job working full time.

I've just finished updating my resume and
I'm about to go turn them in at the local restaurants.

I figure that maybe if I have some outside priorities I won't get caught up on the computer
every minute of the day that my kids are gone. And now that it is summer...
those add up to a whole lot of minutes.
Not good.

So wish me luck, maybe soon I'll be $oaking up the ca$h :)

Pulling my hair out....

I'm so busy that I don't know whether I am coming or going.

My giveaway blog is keeping me overloaded with reviews and giveaways.
I'm on a first name basis with the UPS guy, the FedEx guy and the mailman. Each day
they are dropping me off numerous packages. Sometimes they come more than once. Don't
get me wrong...I love all the free things that I get, but I can't keep up.

And...summer just started. My kids are out of school and there are so many fun things on our to do list.
First on the list, I'm having a Velveeta House Party this Saturday.
At first, I figured I'd just invited like ten or fifteen people. And now the list has gotten so long that I ]
don't know where I'm going to fit or feed all of our guests.
I'm actually really excited. I have people coming from all over the state. Old friends that I haven't
seen in years. And the best part (almost!) is that all the food is free.
Yep free. Velvetta has sent me so much food and gift certificates, that we can feed an army.
Now if only I had a bigger house.

The two things that are already seriously slacking are:
my other blogs (like this one!!)
and my reading. I love to read. I absolutely love to read.
Well, I haven't picked up a book in over a week. Well over a week!!! :(
And normally I would have finished three to four or more books in the past week.

I've never had to schedule reading and blogging into my calendar.
But by the looks of it...I do now.

So to all of you...
I hope all of you are doing great and are enjoying your summer so far.
And I can't really promise how often I will post here.
Since this is my favorite blog to post in, I miss it and all of you.
I'm going to try and catch up with everyone tonight and tomorrow, and then it's back to party planning.

Wish me luck with my first house party (with sponsors!!)

Have a great upcoming week, everyone.

P.S. A big thanks to Barb over at 'This and That (as I bounce thru life!)'

for giving me a shout out for having her new blog button on my sidebar.
Silly me, didn't even know she was going to be looking for them.

can be found here.
(for some reason I can't get it to link to the button itself!!)

P.S.S. It was really cool to see my blog mentioned on one of my two favorite blogs.

When you get lemons....

I know, I know...I'm suppose to make lemonade...

But I've always just stuffed the dam lemons in my bra.
You know, kill two birds with one stone, and all that.
My mom (not well endowed, and so neither am I) taught me that one!!
The sad part is if you take my bra and put a lemon in it, it's a perfect fit :(

Seriously though, I've been handed so many lemons lately, that I'm drowning in the dam juice.
The sour, sour juice. Where's the sugar??

Now I'm not usually one to complain...
who am I kidding??? I always complain :)
It's more like...no one listens!!

So some of you may be wondering where I have been!!
Here's the cake topper..

No...I didn't get married!!!
I'd of invited you all.

I was in jail.
Yes, for real!!
Little ol' me was locked behind bars for 30 days.
25 with good time.

Yes, that good time is real.
You know what else is real??
When they tell you to get your kids to school....or else??
The or else...is real!!
I'm living proof.

SO GET THOSE KIDS TO SCHOOL, DAM IT!!
I don't care, if the one in question ran away, and you're having a hard enough time
just making it through the day....you'd better make sure that that runaway is at least
going to school. (Yeah, I know...kind of impossible!!) If I knew where my kid was,
he wouldn't be a run-away....right??

Not in the eyes of the COURT!!
And let me tell you, JAIL IS NO FUN!

The food sucks!!
Let me tell you....if I'd been handed a tray like this one....I'd have been one happy camper jailee.
The beans in the photo above, look like just about every meal we  ate were served.
I barely ate! I lost 15 pounds.

OK, OK enough of all that.
Now that I'm back home with my kids, they have put my run away son in juvenile detention.
Yep, now that they figure Mommy has learned her lesson, it's time to put the real culprit behind bars.

Ok, so now that my conscience is clear.
And everyone knows that I wasn't in Arizona.... :)
(That's where my little kiddos think I was!!)
I can get back to blogging as usual.

This is a perfect example of how karma roxx!!

Absolutely. If I'm in the wrong, I always apologize.

4. When is the last time you bought a new comforter for your bed?

About six months ago. I have a very comfy down one right now.

Flex-Stick Review....Helping me walk better one step at a time........ :)

HELPING PEOPLE WALK BETTER -- IT'S WHY RANjAM EXISTS!

"The 'FLEX-STICK', byRANjAM, LLC is the exciting new three legged, revolutionary walking cane. Comfort and control are provided as spring-loaded legs cushion the hand while maintaining contact with the ground as the 'FLEX-STICK' tilts with normal walking.  Replaces quad canes & single point canes."

"With the 'FLEX-STICK', some of the most uneven surfaces are made much easier to negotiate as the legs compensate and the springs act as shock absorbers, moving up and down to level out the ride, much the same way as an automobile handles bumps and pot holes."

This is NOT a cane.  It's a ''FLEX-STICK!

The gorgeous blue one in the middle is the one that RANjAM so generously sent me :)

walking cane flex-stick

Don't you just love the design???
I do!!!

I have gotten so many compliments just on the design,
and then they will start looking at the actual Flex-Stick itself
and noticing that this isn't your everyday cane that you see people
walking with. This Flex-Stick is absolutely amazing.

The first time I took it to my Doctor appointment with me,
my Dr. immediately noticed the design and asked me to check it out.
He was very interested in the spring-loaded legs,
knowing that with my Sciatica and crushed tail-bone, that this is
probably exactly what I need.

I left him all the information and he even put the brochures that I had
brought with me up in his office for his patients to see.

Pretty much the same thing happened at my Physical Therapist's office.
She was amazed at the design and when I showed her how it works,
that when I put my bad leg down, I put the Flex-Stick down
at the exact same time on the other side and it
practically does all the work for me.

The Flex-Stick is amazing when you are walking on uneven surfaces.
Because of the spring-loaded legs, one or two or however many are needed will
actually go down only as far as needed to make me still walk level.

I love it, but more importantly.....so does my back :)

I almost forgot to add that the Flex-Stick comes with a
built in flashlight. It's right at hand level so you can easily turn it
on and off when needed. It comes in so handy when walking
at night, or when looking for the door locks!!

Check out this video....

l

The 'FLEX-STICK' comes in two (2) adjustable sizes
'standard' - 31.5" to 38.5" (80 cm to 98 cm) approximate heights from 4'10" to 6'2".
'tall' - 33" to 42" (84 cm to 107 cm) approximate heights from 5'5" to 6'6"
They can also do 'custom short' - 2" (5cm) shorter & 'custom tall' 2" (5cm) longer.

 Contact them for quote.

You won't be sorry.

And believe me...
you will NEVER use a cane again!!!
